Day Two and My...

ALABlogging...Dawgs are Barkin'! We had the best fun today stumbling all around town. For the record, we racked up 34,000 steps or over 16 miles. That's a lot of museums and Metro steps. Our favorite, hands down, had to be the US Botanical Gardens, southeast from the Capitol.

Oh, my! It's past 1am and I'm still on the computer. I think I may have a problem. Should y'all gather and plan a bloggie intervention? :D

Hey maggie,
Is this a really big conference? Because I have another online friend attending that. Weird coincidence, unless, every librarian in US is there.
Also, I thought if I read southern books, the weather would be southern for me. It's not. Explain?
(ps I've enjoyed both boks so far)

Yep, Raidergirl3, this is the conference to end all conferences for librarians. International in scope, it is an annual pilgramige for most in the profession. It's expensive though, and I know most in the South have a hard time paying the costs. Also, it is hard for smaller public librarians to go because they are hosting summer reading programs. There are plenty of authors and one never knows when they might bump into greatneass. :D

well, it sounds like a great conference. I'm glad you're enjoying D.C., too. I remember my dawgs barking after a couple of days making the rounds of museums and monuments there :)

Thanks, Gentle Reader! My husband pointed that out yesterday and then a friend today mentioned it, too. :D

My dawgs are now panting... :P
