Question?

Do y'all want another blog for the challenge, separate from this?

This is the one I set up. It's wordpress which I was hoping to teach myself during the summer. A blog that would be purely Southern and not include my (copy) articles. Now, with all the challenges, I believe it is just another headache to keep up with yet another blog. (I'm really not happy with my template, either.) So, use it or lose it?

Personally....I wouldn't bother with it. The challenge & the rules are *here*,and everyone can link from their 'reviews' to this site.

No need to take on more 'work' - this is supposed to be FUN, no?! (and, that means fun for YOU, too)

Just my 2cents.

Thanks for hosting this challenge..wherever you decide to post it!

I agree with mo...don't make more work for yourself! Why not just make one post with a Mr. Linky thingie where everyone can go and link their reviews.

Just another gal's opinion.

I'd have to vote for just keeping everything here. Yes, it would be a headache to keep up with yet another blog. Too many blogs to read takes away book reading time :-)

Beautiful blog over there! There are pros and cons to having a separate blog. The pros are that it is like a one-stop shopping experience for participants to read reviews, and I think it encourages comments and "discussions" about books. On the con side - it is a lot of work for the host and it means double posting for participants (because usually they post a review on their personal blog and then cross post to the challenge blog). Right now I'm participating in several "team" blogs - and it is fun - but I'm not sure at which point the number of challenge blogs will overrun me! So, short answer - lets keep the challenge here :)

Depends on how much time you have to play with the other blog.

it's up to you, but I have found that one blog is enough--in it goes book and movie reviews, creative writing projects, photos, etc. At one time, I had a blog for photos, one for railroad literature, etc. It was too much

The new blog is lovely and if you are wanting to try it out, I'm happy to oblige. However, I agree with the others that it seems like a lot of work to keep up with two.

Why reinvent the wheel when you already have something that works?

I like the idea of the seperate blog, but I'm fine either way.

It is very nice but I'll go with what everyone else has said, don't create more work for yourself. If you want to do it go for it but otherwise everything is here :)

I agree with debi - a Mr. Linky would be just fine.

I have to say, though, that I really like the layout of that other blog!

I'm with Mo - don't make extra work for yourself! Just use a Mr. Linky like Joy has on her blog for the Non-Fiction 5 challenge. That works.

I'm happy with this site. I don't think you should have to do any extra work either.

I want to join.

I propose

-- The Dallas Women's Guide to Gold-digging with Pride by J.C. Conklin (it's new and looks delicious)

-- Confederacy of Dunces (a classic)

-- Blood Meridian (for something serious)

You guys are so smart! I'll be staying in this location. I would probably lose participants if I moved, too!

Oh, and welcome to Carly! Fine choices! :D
