That's one we use, too! A lot. Another one is from Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid: "The CLEANing woman..." You have to hear Steve Martin's character say it.

Jenclair, Yes, Steve Martin has given us boundless material! It's been years since we have seen DMDWP but we love The Jerk. Anytime someone "Damns this or that" we step in and say, "I damn thee." I personally get carried away with the guy trying to shoot Steve at the gas station, "He hates these cans. Stay away from the cans."

Look forward to finding out what "The CLEANing woman..." is all about :)

Great question, but do you know I had a real hard time coming up with a line, so I picked one I've heard often before:

"It's not personal, Sonny. It's strictly business." Al Pacino in the (The Godfather). I just love listening to Al Pacino say it!

Arrgggh, wish I could think of more! I know I loved a lot of lines from "Goodfellas" and so many other movies, but they won't come to mind now!

I lovelovelove anything from The Godfather. Never ask me about my business...Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in...and, the afore-mentioned It's not personal; it's business.

Too cool!

I'm conflicted! There's "Teacher says, every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings," and "She done R-U-N-N-O-F-T.." from 'Oh Brother, Where Art Thou.'

Then there's nearly every line from 'The Big Lebowski.'

Oh, and Dory from 'Finding Nemo,' "When I see you, I'm home."

I have no idea! Great to think about, though.

But Maggie, I'm so interested to know you're a librarian in Mississippi. My family's from North-Central MS. I was born in Houston, though my family lived in Calhoun City at the time. My parents were both born in the Coffeeville/Water Valley area, near Oxford. It's nice "meeting" you.

Ooh, that's a toughie. But here's one of mine:

"I'm a loner, Dottie. A rebel." (from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure)

These are great guys! I thought of one from Moonstruck, "Snap out of it."

I love "Louie, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship" from
Casablanca. And, of course, the classic, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." That comes in handy sooo many times!
