I read Sights Unseen by Kaye Gibbons. I liked it, but did not love it.
I finished The Help tonight.
I'm including Warm Springs - although it's only sort of Southern because Warm Springs is in Georgia. Great memoir, though.

I loved Warm Springs and she spends quite a bit of time at the camp, Suzi. My second grade teacher had polio as a child, and wore the braces all her life. I remember hugging them on a day I felt vunerable. The amazing thing that I didn't realize at the time 73-74, she was also black. Can you imagine her struggle?!?

Loved The Notebook,although it wasn't as "Southern" as I usually like. e.g. Cold Sassy Tree, Prodigal Summer...2 of my favorites
I wanna' read another Crews :) But I guess I'll just have to wait. On to the next title...
I am excited! Haven't finished my first challenge book though (The Ponder Heart by Eudora Welty) but am looking forward to write my review and post it here. And read as many of the other reviews as possible. I am afraid my wish list will grow out of control ;o) I got all the books I want now for the challenge, now we'll see if I can manage to read them all.
