Maybe, I'll wait for the challenge too, Nymeth. The challenges are so useful!
Sage - I was hoping someone would say their favorite. He has written so much I was going for the title I recognized. I'll add The Naked and the Dead, too. TY
On the weekend, I was looking at this new book called "On God" and the thing is a sort of extended interview with Mailer regarding his thoughts about biblical/theological/spiritual questions and the thing looked FASCINATING. I would love to read it.
Hi Lindabug! I'm excited you are reading this blog! Good job with the Larry Brown review. The more you expand on your job the harder it is for them to fire you. Idiots!!!

I plan on reading it too, for the Pulitzer Project next year. RIP :(
sad, I still think his best is The Naked and the Dead. I enjoyed his writings, but got tired of his obsession with JFK and Marilyn Monore

I've read Tough Guys Don't Dance (could be the macho man's anthem) and the Executioner's Song . . .
I like that title Diane, but am woefully unfamiliar. Looking at his photos, he does strike me as the macho type.

I will love hearing your thoughts when finished, Cipriano. :D
Maggie - read it! It fascinated me, and I did think it was one of his best. Let me know what you think after you do -lindabug
