And the Winner is...

The peeps at PEN/Faulkner really like ole Philip Roth! He has won this year's award with Everyman. That makes 3 PEN/Faulkners under his modestly sized belt.

Congratulations!

May I borrow $15,000? ;)

Must be rough being popular. ;)

Yeah, that's $45,000 of green in his popular PEN/Faulkner pocket! :P

Roth writes well, but he is no Hemingway. :)

I have EVERYMAN on my NYT Notable Book Challenge list. I'll be reading it within the next couple of months. Glad to know he received an award, yet sometimes award winners mean nothing to me. It'll all depend on my mood when I read it, whether I'll consider him a winner. :)

Oh! I just realized that you have a new "image". Nice.

Thanks for the story/comment (I just posted here, so you'd see my reply)! And, you've inspired me to start rotating out a little bit on my "image". Thanks again, and have a good one!

Roth was a shoe-in? Perhaps... I love your blog, absolutely! Making Mississipi read, eh? I love the premise... there should be more people out there like you... the world would be a better place :-) Cherrio!

Joy, Roth is an acquired taste. You must tell me what you think! :)
